Nightstop In The News!

It’s been another big week for Nightstop UKMollie and David volunteer Nightstop hosts

As our wonderful Nightstop hosts across the country continue to open their doors to young homeless people in need, two of our longest serving volunteers were also interviewed by the national press!

As part of Nightstops 30th birthday celebrations, the i newspaper approached hosts Mollie and David  and asked them to share their story  23 years of hosting young people.

The Bradford-based couple estimate that over the years they have provided an incredible 2,000 bed-nights to hundreds of young people who were experiencing homelessness and had nowhere else to stay.

You can find out more about Mollie and David and read the i interview here.

Raising The Profile of Nightstop

It has been an exciting year for Nightstop in the media.  Earlier this year the service  featured on TV in a special documentary which was broadcast across the UK.

In July, More4 aired 'Would You Take In A Stranger?', the story of young people experiencing homelessness and the Nightstop hosts who open their doors to them.

The documentary  gave viewers a special insight into how Nightstop works as well as extensive interviews with young people and hosts  on what it’s like to take in a stranger.

If you missed the documentary first time around, don’t worry, you can still catch it on demand by clicking here. It’s informative, inspirational, and we highly recommend it!

Thirty Years Of Incredible Stories

This is a month of celebration for Nightstop as we mark 30 years since the launch of the first service.

Throughout the month we’re celebrating by sharing stories from inspirational people whose lives have been changed because of the   service. We’re interviewing hosts, young people and staff and finding out how Nightstop has developed over the years and why it is today more important than ever.

You can keep up-to-date with Nightstops 30th Birthday celebrations and all things Nightstop here.

If you’d like to share a story about Nightstop or find out more about the service, we’d love to hear from you.
