Roll Out The Red Carpet! Nightstop Nominated For A Royal Television Society Award!
It’s been a busy week for Wyre Forest Nightstop, not only has it continued its hard work providing emergency overnight accommodation to young homeless people in the Kidderminster area, but it has also been nominated for a Royal Television Society Midlands award!
The award nomination is for a recent film about Wyre Forest Nightstop which was produced by digital arts charity and media production company Rural Media. The film which documents the stories of three young Nightstop users has been nominated for ‘Best Promotional Film’.
The winner will be announced at the Royal Television Society Midlands awards ceremony dinner in November.
The Stories of Courtney, Amie and Steve
The films tell the stories of Courtney, Amie and Steve, young people who have all been forced to leave home following difficulties within their family homes. The film follows each of their harrowing experiences of homelessness and how Nightstop helped to change their lives.
Judith Ford, Wyre Forest Nightstop Chief Executive, comments on the award nomination:
“We are delighted that the film has been nominated for a Royal Television Society Award, it powerfully documents the journeys of our young people and their experiences of homelessness.”
