Could You Help Nightstop in 2018?
January 4th, 2018
Nightstop Needs You!
In 2018, 34 Nightstop services across the UK will support hundreds of young people experiencing homelessness, by providing a safe place to stay in the spare room of volunteer hosts.
Statistics show that youth homelessness across the UK is on the rise, and as a result the demand for Nightstop is higher than ever.
In 2018 we urgently need volunteers and fundraisers to support our services and help us to reach more young homeless people in crisis.
If you’d like to help us, we’d love to hear from you. Here’s how you can get involved:
Become a Volunteer Host
Could you offer your spare room to a young person in need?
In 2018 Nightstop services across the UK need to recruit more volunteer hosts so we can provide more safe places for young people to stay.
Hosts are ordinary members of the public who have a spare room in their home and are willing to offer it to a young person who is experiencing homelessness.
If you’d like to find out what it’s like to be a Nightstop host, read our Guardian & Observer Charity Appeal interview with Helen, who hosts in Greater Manchester.
Volunteer as a Chaperone
Would you like to volunteer for Nightstop but don’t have a spare room?
Nightstop services across the UK are recruiting volunteer chaperones.
Nightstop chaperones support young people who have been offered a Nightstop bed by helping them to get to their host’s house quickly and safely. Chaperones either drive young people to their destination or travel with them on public transport.
Chaperones play a vital role in supporting young people who are in crisis and we therefore urgently need more volunteers in 2018.

Fundraise or Donate
Nightstop relies on charitable donations to enable us to provide a safe place to stay for hundreds of young people experiencing homelessness across the UK.
In 2018 we need fundraisers and donors to support the service and help us to keep more young people safe.
If you’d like to help young homeless people by taking on a fundraising challenge or making a one-off or regular donation then please get in touch.
Every donation makes a difference and we’d like to thank all of our current and future volunteers and supporters for your incredible support.
Happy New Year! We look forward to hearing from you in 2018.
